Members of the Vietnam Lawyers' Association
Pursuant to Article 4 of the Statutes of the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association, members of the Association shall comprise of:
-    Official members;
-    Honorary members and donor members.

1. Official members:
  Pursuant to Article 4 of the Statutes, any Vietnamese citizen having good virtues, worked or having worked in legal field for at least three years in the organs or organizations defined in Article 1 of the Statutes can be admitted to the Association.
 
2. Honorary members and donor members:
  This is two new kinds of membership for persons who do not have legal knowledge or experience as stipulated in Article 4 of the Statutes but they have made great contribution to the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association (donor members) or have great impact in the society (honorary members); therefore, the Lawyers’ Association at all levels should pay much attention when admitting such persons to be its members.
  Any persons wishing to become honorary member and donor member must be the ones who have made contribution spiritually or materially to the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association for at least 3 years. Before admitted, the Lawyers’ Associations at all level must send the application and report to the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association for consideration and decision.
  Honorary members, donor members do not have the right to run for election, to introduce of people for or to cast the vote to elect persons to the Association’s leading organs but they have other rights which are the same with official members (Paragraph 2 Article 7 of the Statutes).
